The 2010 mustang, is a more futuristic design, completly ruining the image of a mustang

what are your thoughts on them? Which one would you buy in the year 2010 if you had a choice, and why? Extras?...

If there are any other posts like this please post the links here.

That "2010 Mustang" is not Ford's mustang. It's a concept that italian designer Giugairo came up with. the truth is no one really knows what Fords redesign will look like. some say it will take some cues from the Giugairo Mustang while staying retro. I read somewehre that all panels are supposed to be changed but the roof, and we're supposed to get "hips" and a 5.0.

The truth is.. there's members on the Mustang source forums, who know those who work at Ford.. have seen the re-designed 2010 Mustang..

In which it's been confirmed, that every body panel will be changed.. except for the current S-197 greenhouse (roof) which will remain unchanged..

it's also been confirmed, that the re-design does indeed include hips..along with the car's lines becoming more aggressive, while also adding more of a modern touch to the front and rear fascia's...However other than that !

The re-designed S-197 Mustang.. will remain retro..

believe it !

As for the 2010 re-design looking anything like that Giugiaro abomination is concerned...It's also been confirmed, that it won't...Thank goodness for that :puke: crapola

I didn't know Ford made a Mustang Lamborghini. That "Italian Stallion" mustang will probably never be released here in the US and if it does, not everyone will get the pleasure of owning one. That was a concept car.

Not everyone is so thrilled with the retro look, although you wouldn't ever know it here. It's ok with a good body kit, but is actually rather plain in v6 form. The geesers got their thrill, but it's time to use some imagination.

Like another poster said above, I bought my '05 because I liked the retro styling. It's the fist Mustang to actually look like a Mustang in many many years. If they start to go backwards again in styling, I'll buy something else next time around.

And just WTF is that wisea$$ remark supposed to mean ! Just because some of us may happen to be well over 30...Doesn't mean that were no longer productive, nor any less creative/imaginative than yourself..

And if it weren't for us geezers ! you wouldn't enjoy the privilege of existing upon the face of this earth, in the first place..

So perhaps, you should take those factors into consideration.. before posting such self-centered, ignorant remarks..:notnice:

Ummmm....... to whom is your post directed Sir ?

EDIT: Ok! I see it now.... nevermind..... (I guess I am about as Geezer as it gets around here....)

If you don't like the retro look go buy a 350Z, the retro look is the first thing they've done right in a long time for the stang. The 99-04 looked like it was carved from a block of wood, way to edgy. If it isn't broke, don't fix it.

+1!
Look how long('79-'93)the fox body style lasted with only modest changes. I would love Ford to make the Stang more on these lines for the next ten years so that gives me a chance to perhaps pay this one off and save some up for a brand new one in the future.I'd love to build my dream(kit)car one day, but if the new Stang is nice enough, I'd sure buy yet another in an instant:nice:

I don't know,
Ford seems to be keeping their releases in a similar parallel correlation to the introductory years of the mustang.

I saw a photo of a rear quarter panel that looked like a 1969/1970 BOSS 429 rear quarter panel on a S197. It looked mean. Lot's of people posted pics of mod. If Ford makes that mod for 2009-2010 Mustang, it would be the only car I would envy. It is truly bad ass Here's the link to the post with the pictures as attachments:

In my opinion, the 1969 BOSS 429 (and the Coupe) are the ultimate looking mustangs. A retro looking Mustang with modern technology and performance is exactly what I've always wanted.

Although I've always had an eye for the 1969 Camaro and 1989 IROC Z-28. Hmmm...I like the 1968 Corvettes and 2007 Z06's too.

Damn, I'm a muscle car whore. I like 'em all.
