i had AFRs put on a few weeks ago and have driven a couple of hundred miles since install. i noticed some oil on the ground and threw it up on a lift and can see the oil coming from the back of the heads so my seal is no good. i used the AFR recommended gaskets (fel pro 1011's). i used ARP head studs so i dont think they're the problem. i'm not sure what they were torque'd to but AFR recommends 65-70 #'s. what do you guys torque to? is it normal to have to retorque the bolts with aluminum heads?

Yeah, I am actually doubting that it is coming from the heads.

Make sure you have pcv grommet/screen/valve in the back of the intake, as well as the lower intake seal to the block.

Good Luck!

Your torque values, gasket, and heads are not the issue if I was to guess.

Edit: Yes, the valvecovers are another possibility for sure!

If you were leaking oil from the head gaskets trust me you would have other signs besides the oil leak. I would say back of the intake manifold also, but the VC gasket is also another good posibility. Did you retorque the intake manifold after a few heat cycles? You might be able to stop the leak by rechecking/retorquing those..that is if its coming from the back of the manifold.
