Haven't been on in forever.
Figured I'd put this up and in about 4 months when I finally get back on here there'll be a few replies, and it'll still be up.

So... the Mustang ain't liking the ATL so much. Keep in mind that I only have 60k miles
Problems:

1) Both headers are leaking AGAIN. Ford replaced both of them about 40k miles ago.
2)Clutch is on it's way out, which is, I guess, expected.
3) Suspension squeaks at every little ****ing bump.
4) Some jewbag keyed the passenger side like a mofo, too expensive to fix.
5) Just replaced the battery.
6) One Silverstar finally blew, after 50k miles.
7) Third fog light switch, from Ford, is broken. They either don't turn off or always turn themselves off.
8) Chin spoiler is ripped off the front left in every ****ing parking lot. Pointless to fix it.
9) Power steering pump is bad. I have to re-fill it twice a week.
10) It's still slow. A damn H3 beat me the other night, there's a good chance he wasn't even "racing."
11) I was going down 400, hit a bump, and the little window defrost cover thingy fell off of the dash. I love how these things are put together. :sarcasm:

Honestly, I will never buy a Ford again, ever. It, although, was the best learner car one could ask for.

BUT, the parents are letting me trade it in and I'm going to make car payments. So, something better is def on deck.
Not to mention, I basically have a vacation home in Cocoa Beach, ftw.

They replaced the entire headers? Buy some Fel Pro gaskets and spend a few hours with it.
2)Clutch is on it's way out, which is, I guess, expected.
Normal wear part, non-issue, IMO
3) Suspension squeaks at every little ****ing bump.
Grease is your friend
4) Some jewbag keyed the passenger side like a mofo, too expensive to fix.
$500 deductable
5) Just replaced the battery.
4 years old, probably could've stood replacement a year ago
6) One Silverstar finally blew, after 50k miles.
Bulbs burn out. I lost one in my 95 the day I got it
7) Third fog light switch, from Ford, is broken. They either don't turn off or always turn themselves off.
This one I can't explain. My stock switch still works like the day I got it.
8) Chin spoiler is ripped off the front left in every ****ing parking lot. Pointless to fix it.
Those concrete blocks are there so you can't go into another spot, not as an indicator of when to stop.
9) Power steering pump is bad. I have to re-fill it twice a week.
Autozone sells a seal kit pretty cheap.
10) It's still slow. A damn H3 beat me the other night, there's a good chance he wasn't even "racing."
Should have gotten a GT or Cobra if you wanted speed.
11) I was going down 400, hit a bump, and the little window defrost cover thingy fell off of the dash. I love how these things are put together. :sarcasm:
So uh, put it back on. Reference the chin spoiler comment to see history of driving style

Nothing there sounds like a major issue to me. Spend $100 and fix the problems, or spend several thousand on a new car. I vote $100, but that's just me.

Ha, you think YOU got problems? Sometimes the trunk lock on my car sticks, and I have to go inside and pop the trunk release button. I am so pissed, I'll never buy another Ford. :fuss: The fact that my car has otherwise ran flawlessly for over 121,000 miles does not take away my flaming RAGE:mad: at that trunk lock. DAMN Ford.

:D

Considering that fogs aren't stock on V6es, you have to acknowledge the possibility that something went wrong during the installation.

The foglight switch in my '95 works just fine. Hell, I even installed an '01-'04 center console, so the console harness had to be modified to accept the stock switch.

Definately some weird problems. My '01 V6 was a rental car before I bought it with 30k-miles. It ran perfectly fine when it was hit and totalled at 80k-miles.

Let me guess, you're like 16 years old? Sorry dude, but you need to relax alittle bit besides the headers and the power steering everything else is just what happens to any car sometimes. I'm sorry, but I hate it when people say "I'll never buy a Ford again" because the one car they had, had alittle more problems than then usually should. I guess if you told me of the big history of Fords always giving you problems then alright. This is why every car has a factory warranty, why have a warranty if they know 100% there will never be a problem? Atleast Ford replaced your headers. So all you "really" should be concerned is the power steering and look into why the headers are leaking from another shop or take into Ford.

And one more thing. You are complaining about an H3 beating you? Sorry to say but you have a V6 mustang, not a high performace vehicle. Plus most SUV's have pretty good TQ, so depending on what this "race" really was, you wouldn't pull away from them until the 50-60mph mark most likely. So, stop complaining about your car being slow like it's some unexplained mystery. I used to have a mildly modified 98 V6 Auto and that thing was slower than what you have and I still thought it was cool even knowing that it couldn't beat many cars. I just knew I didn't have the right car if I wanted something faster.

So what.....your parents forced you to drive this car until you decided to make your own car payments? You're not helping your case if you're basically saying mommy and daddy are paying your payments for this car. I just know alot of people on here had to work hard to afford there car and wont take that respecfully.

But even with all that said, I hope you get something better for your tastes and are happier in the end.

For one my parents NEVER bought me a car when I was younger, and seeing half of these little spoiled brats driving around in my town now with Cobras, Benzes, Beamers, H2's etc that there is NO WAY they could afford on a HS part time job really makes me  . Then you have someone come in complaining about a car being slow, minor problems that WILL surface on any used car....:bang: I REALLY wanted an 05+ Gt guess what, I bought what I can afford, and have no problems dealing with the fact that I bought a V6 vert, ITS STILL a Mustang Convertible! Now my job is being sent to Mexico, so I may never get my 78 finished, may have to sell it or the 01... so as for whinig about little problems :Zip2: and grow up! Experience life, THEN MAYBE you'll have something real to complain about

Sorry end of rant...
Moral: True to the day, it's Thanksgiving, be Thankful for what you have, you never know when something wil come along and make you wish for better times...

Isnt the H3 just a Chevy Colorado with a diff. body??

So you got beat by a H3, big friggin deal:rolleyes:

And if you aint happy with your "vacation home" Ill gladly take it off your hands for $1:D

Try working two jobs while putting yourself through college and buying a V6 just because you can't take riding on the bus anymore, then being stuck with that V6 for the next 7 years while friends in GTs and Cobras blow past you on a regular basis. In other words, if you whine about the learner car mommy and daddy bought you, it doesn't carry quite the same weight as it would if you actually worked for what you have. I won't even ask about the condition of the car when you got it, or how well you maintained it, but I will say I have driven my '98 twice as far as yours (122,000 miles) with none of the problems you listed, so something's fishy there.
