Got the new prothane trans mount installed sunday and what a difference, my ld one was so bad the tranny was slapping the floor pan. But it feels alot more peppy but I guess I had so much movement in my trans that I was loosing power to the wheels.

when i swapped t5's i changed out the worn rubber tranny mount for a poly one. transfers unwanted vibration and noise :notnice:

i hear its best to keep the motor and trans mounts the same, poly/poly rubber/rubber

i got one a few years back when I did my clutch install. It made everything vibrate so bad I thought I messed something up on the install. I did some research and I guess the Prothane one they sell are really for fox cars and their mounts make the tranny sit up higher. Which is why it vibrates so bad. After a few years I think it worn in pretty good to where I don't get the bad vibration around 2k rpms anymore, but I still get lots of noises from my interior. I'm def. going back to the rubber one whenever I get around to it.

i got the prothane motor mounts as well, just want be installed for a couple more weeks, the only vibration I am getting is the passenger side tail pipe but it is loose. As far as my old one there was no rubber left in it, everytime I took off the trans smacked the floor pan.
