right now im running trick flow twisted wedges that have a good amount of port work done and a LOT shaved off em.
a stock shortblock (with the exception of a high pressure oil pump)
victor junior intake
650 demon double pumper
and an f-cam.

now ive done all i can to really make this combo work the way i want. ive changed out the springs and timing stop in the distributor and have even changed the cam timing a couple times, (clocked lower timing gear, i can get up to 8* either way, right now its a 0 because thats what ive found to run the best)

but it still seems to have a dead spot. like it doesnt start pulling "hard" until about 4300 and it stops around 6200. it just doesnt have much low end. altho it runs like a raped ape with a 150 shot. lol.

im looking for a something thatll give me a larger power band and maybe a little bit more low end torque, and still be good for nitrous. ive considered going solid roller and ill do it if thats where the most gains will come from. but id prefer not to take my heads off again

Well im sure that Vic Jr intake doesnt help the low end much, and the F cam is def a bad match to it. Ive run that set up and it had no torque.

You may want to contact http://www.andersonfordmotorsport.com/ about one of their cams. Ive run them in in the past and run one currently and it works very well for an off the shelf cam.

thats a pretty sweet site. they have all kinds of customer cars listed with there entire setups, ETs, and dyno graphs. and a lot of NA guys in the 11s.

althou i cant find an email address.

They are a great company to deal with and are very knowledgable when it come to what combos work well and what doesnt. They use their chassis dyno extensively. I would suggest calling and speaking with Rick (217) 935-2384 rather than emailing them.

Rick is a great guy. He will suggest you take your heads off tho. The B21 is most likely what he will suggest as the safest bet clearance wise. It is a much better cam than the f graph wise too

How much is a "LOT" of milling on those heads?

I believe Anderson will get you a nice "off-the-shelf" cam as well.

Otherwise, I would choose www.flowtechinduction.com for a custom cam for nearly the same $.

:stupid: Hey Woody go the custom route whoever you choose (I went with FTI) well worth it and dont forget about jay allen..:nice: :nice:

Wait until you hear my car @ chaos SOLID ROLLER !!!..:hail2:

the part number on the heads says they are supposed to have o-ring receiver grooves....they dont....lol. the guy i got em from said they didnt have any grooves when he took em off the car and he had em milled again. so a LOT.

My only guess, is to back track and ask how much he had them milled, and maybe he can get some contact info for the guy he bought them off:scratch:

Which heads do you have with the o-rings provisions?

TFS-51400003
TFS-51400005

or...

TFS-51400011

got em off this guy, the site says they have single valve springs. but i know for a fact they are dual. and its not one of those damper things either.

If there double springs with a dampner and the heads dont have a EGR port, then you probably have the an older set of TrackHeat heads, witch are good heads. If they show up under 60cc then they most likely have been milled.

you could prolly cc the combustion chamber and figure out how much was taken off. were they angle milled or straight milled? do you have any intake sealing or port alignment issues?

im assuming straight milled, and the intake sides have been shaved a little too. the intake lines up pretty good, but ive had problems getting the ends to seal, and the bolts are sometimes kinda hard to get started. especially on the ends. i used anti-seize everytime ive taken it off/put it back on which helped to not strip the threads.

im pretty sure thats what they are, there dual spring, no egr , and they dont have the trickflow logo engraved on em.
