GTA Exhaust ?

Anyone have the M-5230-GTA axle-back mufflers? I can't find any documentation on the tips, I want to know if they are polished aluminum or chrome - I just can't tell from pictures!

I used to have them before the hangars rusted off of them. The tips were shiny, I'm not sure if they were chrome or not though.

Are we talking general here about "tips"? Or does this relate to my original question of what finish the M-5230-GTA axle-backs come with?

I have them also. I polish mine with Mothers and they look great imo. You do have to wipe them down at least weekly to keep the 4" rolled tips looking good.

I do not know where you are looking at them at but the one's that I have do not have "Ford Racing" embossed on the tips like you see in some of the pics on the websites....make sure you read the fine print.

I don't think I have ever seen a pair of the GTA's with any script embossed on them, sure you aren't thinking of the stingers?

Thanks for the advice on the weekly wipe-downs though, I usually try to keep my car washed every week but the winters do get challenging. Might have to give the tips some extra attention to keep them nice !

Embossed M-5230-GTA

Not bashing anyone's site but here was what I was talking about - may be totally different but it shows embossed tips and has M-5230-GTA in part number and advertised as Ford Racing Muffler. Who knows these may come with emboss.... You can always ask.

Not bad price unless you have to buy hanger kit.
