ahhh!!! where can i find this bracket?????

im looking for an alternator bracket for my 95 GT

i cant find a single picture online of ppl who did it and i cant find a single place that sells them

i want to remove the original smog, tensioner and alternator bracket and fit the new one on......i'd prefer a bracket where i can mount the alternator where the smog used to be but i'll settle for one that will keep in the original location

I chopped my smog bracket off the factory setup.

But you are wanting to remove the tensioner as well?

well that looks sweet but i wanna show my new valve covers n throw the alternator where the smog was and also the reason this came across my mind is cause my tensioner took a dump on me so i wanted to use the alt. as a tensioner for the serpentine

i just came across a roush lower bracket for the alternator
anyone knows if this will work???
anything that will work??

I'm going out on a limb here but I'm guessing that you wont keep the belt on without the tensioner. I suspect that there is much more "stretch" in these belts than the older style V-Belt that allowed you to tighten the belt by adjusting the alternator. The tensioner allows for the stretching (elasticity) of the belt under various load conditions so as to maintain proper tracking of the belt. Could be wrong but there is likely a good engineering reason for its presence.

Good luck without the tensioner. You're better off either replacing it, or coming up with some other creative idea for getting some form of dynamic tensioning in there. The static tensioning of the alternator won't cut it.

you might check with march. they make brackets of course, and they also have those expanding bolt things that make them adjustable, so they can be used without a tensioner. they may have just what you are looking for, but they also don't have much for 94/95s, so you may have to go to fox accessories ...

The Roush lower bracket won't work, the bracket is designed around older alternator housing. I had to cut up the bracket and reweld it etc...was a pain.

im going to go ahead n get a march bracket but now has anyone seen a bracket for the p/s ...march for example would be sweet!
