Ive seen hatches, but no coupes, not aven a hot wheels! What gives??

GMP doesnt even make one..

With all the coupe owners out there, I find it hard to believe, theres not more companies doing them. Heck, I find buick regals all over the place, mustang II's, etc. I can even find pacers and gremlins..wtf??

Because they don't make a 93 diecast coupe. There's an 86, and 87, as linked above, but that's it currently in 1/18 size. Probably out of all the sizes, too.

Keep an eye on GMP, in recent years they just added a lot of Mustang examples to their line. Maybe they'll eventually get a later model coupe too :nice:

^ Yeah, but its not HotWheels sized. and it looks like a really bad replica. I'd rather pay $4 for a HW than $98 for a crappy model...but that's just me.

Obviously, you've never seen a GMP model in person. They're the most highly detailed diecast you'll ever see. They have removable carpeted floor mats, working hood prop rods, fabric seat belts, spark plug wires. Hell, they even have the Motorcraft sticker on the air filter box. They're the next best thing to owning the real car.

Maisto makes a 1/64 1993 Cobra, it's kind of blinged out but it's a start. I have the green one but I have seen other colors as well. Hot Wheels made a 79 Mustang in several different paint schemes (one being a Cobra) years ago but they can still be found.

Not all the GMP cars have that level of detail. The red '87 coupe doesn't have the seat belts, hood prop, or floor mats, but it also doesn't cost as much as the models that do. I bought two of the red '87s and paid about $45 each. One is staying as is, the other is in the "paint shop"and is gonna become a model of my Oregon SSP.

Now that it's discontinued I guess the red '87 will get harder to find and more $$$.

What about this one? Can't remember where I found it though. Edit: I think it was www.greenlighttoys.com, its been awhile since I've been there and they've added tons of stuff, I even found some 68 coupes (which I've been looking for for the last seven years).

Those cars are awesome but i do have some small issues with how they did the nose body lines since they should have the fender extension lines where the bumper mounts to the fender...but that's nit picking. The only other thing i don't like about them which is actually a bit annoying is how slanted the nose is....they look more like a Tbird than they should. All that aside they're really nice models.
