I have 20 x 8.5 American Muscle DD bullitt rims with Nitto 555 - 255x30x20 . I'm thinking about getting some of the Ford 'K' springs for my 05 Mustang GT.

Will there be any clearence issues? I believe the advertised drop is 1.5" all way around, and I wondered if that was true.

Thanks in advance!

K Springs

Ok, finally ordered the Ford K springs for my GT. I have 20x8.5 rims

However, I'm concerned about the ride quality, and also have heard about replacing the std upper strut mounts with the M18183a (GT500) mounts.

Did any of you replace the springs only, and if you did how was the ride?

Have any of you had the front upper strut mounts break after you installed the new springs?

Last question I'm looking at the Tokico shocks / struts (Blue) non adjustable. What's your opinion on these?

Two Front Struts (Part # HB3234)
Two Rear Shocks (Part # HE3753)

Thanks for your input. Dewman :nice:

Love those K springs!

I got them installed thursday night, and took the car up to Silver Springs for the 14th Annual Mustang Round up on Sat. We average 80 and up to 100 a few times. The handling was solid and not springy. We took a few big cures and it was nice.

The over all ride quality is excellent. It's firmer than OEM, and even stiffer when you throw it in to the corners. I have the GT oem struts and springs. I'll upgrade those early next year.

I have 20" deep dish Bullit's and the difference between the top on the tire and the bottom edge of the fender lip is just over 1 inch in both front and back.

Here's a pic of my car along with some other Limers. I have the center GT with the anthracite bullits.

Here's a link to the LLR website have several post with pics of the car show.
