hopefully i am gonna go skiing next month up in big bear...but i am NOT taking my stang.

...the stang cant handle Snow or Ice...its way too low and has No ABS or traction control and its manual Trans....all those things equal bad news on Ice.

My car was originally from The Chicagoland Area...i have always wondered if the firth owner drove it in the snow

Well, you did make it that low, but I'm suprized that it doesn't have ABS. Our years didn't have TC as an option, but I thought most if not all SN95s had ABS. Manual trans is excellent in the snow by the way. When I'm in snow, I start out in 2nd gear slipping the clutch and short shift all the other gears which keeps torque and thus slippage to a minimum. If you ever get caught in snow/ice it's really the best way to go.

there were some SN95s made (that were not sold in California) thats had No ABS, 17inch wheel option, 3.27 gear, and CD player but no Mach 460....my car is one of those

there are a lot of the SN95's without ABS. It was standard sometime in the late 90's or early 00's until I think 2003 and then it was made optional again and then im sure its standard on the new ones

yeah, in 99' or early 2000 all the automakers of the world decided to make ABS a standard features....most agreed, except a few (TVR)

Should be sunny tomorrow in So Cal. Some of us are going to the Mulhullond Exotic car gathering for coffee tomorrow, Sunday from 8 am to 10 am. Lots of Lambos, Ferraris, Saleens, Porsches, Astons, etc. It's a pretty impressive gathering. 101 Freeway north-Off at Mulhullond/Valley Circle in the Vons parking lot. Afterwards, several of us cross the freeway to the other side to take a look see at the Lamborgini/Lotus Dealer. Every 4th Sunday of the month.

Map Quest: La Mirada to Big Bear 96 miles=1 hr and 48 minute.
La Mirada to Woodland Hills 43 miles=46 minutes
And I'm willing to bet that you will see snow prior to reaching Big Bear. My Father use to have a cabin in Angeles Oaks that seem to always have snow and it was 20 miles before Big Bear on Highway 38. Made that drive many times.
No wimps.
