So far for my build-up I have chosen the following parts:

Bullitt suspension kit
03 cobra a-arms
new strut,endlink,and rack bushings
fms uca's
pro 3 adj lca's
fms alum driveshaft
steeda tri-ax shifter

:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Now I am stuck, I have enough money to do either:

A: tubular k-member and longtube headers

or

B: 3.73 gears and install

Both sound like a good idea to me, A- drop a little weight and get an awesome sound. B- quicker acceleration

What do you guys think?

kmember,mac lt's, hpipe= 600

gears installed (around here) $625 ( $275 labor and 250 for gears and master install kit

What kind of tubular k-member are you looking at? The cheapest MAC LT is $269.50, off their website. You might find it cheaper by a few somewhere else, unless you have a used opportunity before you? Are you going to install the k-member and LT's yourself?

Plus, by the numbers you put forth, option B would be $525.

Not trying to rag on you, but I'm trying to make sure you have the right numbers in mind.

The gears would give you that "kick in the pants" feeling...

But, since you are doing all the other suspension pieces I say k-member & LT's.

That way the front end will be basically new, lighter, and the LT's will be in place if you some major engine mods down the road.

OP, are you looking at the K-member, LT's new or used?

Summit has a tubular Granatelli K-member for $249.95, and as I mentioned before the cheapest MAC LT header new is around $269.50, so that puts you in line with ~$600. Is that the K-member you had in mind?

I saw you have or want to have cobra a-arms up front, but will those work with the tubular K-member you have lined up?

EDIT: Lol, Grady, you're awesome.

I had thought I would do turbo, but that plan has changed.( I think)

well I was going to say if you were going to go turbo don't get the LT's because you'll have to change your headers anyway, but if you go turbo you won't want the 3.73's either! If you're going to stay N/A I'd go with the gears first :D You may want to look into upgrading the whole rear end now if you're planning on cranking out some serious power later.

I want to say Pa kmember and LT's If you don't go turbo. (also less weight= better mpg) also better sound. Check the corral classifieds for great deals.

But
if you go turbo the kmember would make more room to work with.
The 3.73 gears with turbo = owning tire company. lol

Prices do vary so its really a tough choice.

i would do the gears....and add a set of shorty headers to match the hpipe u already got . since noboby is factoring in the cost of the new hpipe too. buy the headers used from the classified or ebay and im sure u can get a set of new gears there too off someone that decided to go to a different gear set.... and i would defintely shop around for better pricing for labor thats really expensive.
