I was looking at exhausts and exhaust clips online last night with my uncle. We came across the SLP Loudmouths and my uncle, who is a pipe fitter, says " I could bend some stainless, buy some exhaust tips and weld some mounting brackets on and have half the cost".
Do the Loudmouths have a resonator on it or is that just all stainless pipe with an exhaust tip?

What your uncle suggested is what people are doing. No the SLP Loud Mouth axleback does not have resonators.

When I bought my SLP LM's, they were roughly $280.00 shipped. To have them made locally would be damn near that.

I had a local shop remove the stock mufflers, bend some pipe to fit the stock pipe and add some 15" long, 4" diameter chrome tips. He used one hanger as the rear most one would have been welded on the chrome. Been there for about 1500 miles and I love the sound. Cost - $80.00

do you have any sound clips?
My uncle figured about $100-150 but he wasn't sure how much the tips would be so he said he estimated high. Did they use all stainless pipe?

Sorry, nothing to do sound clips with. The way I looked at this mod was if I did not like the sound, I would not be out much. I never asked about the pipe as on my last one, the same guy used stainless. It does have a bit louder sound upon start up with cold pipes. As they warm, they do quiet down a bit. Many have commented as to how good the sound is. I have no problems with any law either.

Thank You MWhite

Hey S1roush, did u keep the cats? and are u using 2 1/2 or 3" pipe? Also what power diff if any +/- ?

I have the pypes off road H pipe, so there are no cats and I believe it is 2.5". There is a decent power increase, I lost a little on the botton and gained a little on the top. I did it more for sound than anything. Let me know if you have anymore questions.
