I thought I did my research pretty good when I decided to go with the Bassani SS Race Axle-Back. My boyfriend just installed them last night and they weren't anything like I expected....so those didn't stay on very long. I want LOUDER. I like the SLP's but I don't know if that's going to be too much for me. This is my first Mustang so I'm pretty clueless with alot of this. So what's the next step below SLP Loudmouths? I want a nice deep LOUD sound but not with a whole lot of drone or too obnoxious sounding....My car is all stock so far. 2008 GT. ANY opinions I'd really appreciate it. Even though I KNOW you all hate repeat threads as I saw so many complaints when I was doing my research.......but I don't know much. I hope to learn :)

My 07 has no mufflers on it and it is pretty loud but not rude. On my 2001 Bullitt I had the SLP Loudmouth's and they got on my nerves after awhile because they were so loud.

You could look into getting a X-pipe or H-pipe to go with an aftermarket or stock axle-backs. That would increase the volume usually and make it sound more aggressive.

I have the Ford Racing axle-backs made by Borla and they are decently loud without being obnoxious. They sound really good but I'm not sure how much quieter they are than the Loudmouths since I've never heard them.

If you want zero drone corsa all the way:nice: . The only bad thing is if you put corsa with an O/R pipe they are EXTREMELY LOUD! I had flows w/ O/R x & the drone was horrible, so I tried corsa & love them but everyone in town can here you, the sound is perfect. If some one can help me paste a sound clip I would love to?

+1 on adding the O/R H or X! That is where you will pick up most of our loudness. Otherwise most of the mufler swaps are really only different at idle(outside)and up near WOT(inside).

Here is my Flows and Pypes O/R H combo. It is loud without being obnoxious and definitely rumbles your floorboard/feet:drool:
