RC might have bought his new.

I dont recall many folks who have, though I know a few have mentioned it on various threads.

The first day you could go drive a 94 GT, my dad and I went to check them out. Now, mind you, I grew up with Mach Is and older MOPARs and I had my 89 LX 5.0 w/ mods at the time so my expectations were skewwed.

I'll never forget the poor guy's face when my dad takes off out of the dealership parking lot, smoking the tires and just abusing the crap out of the car. The funny thing was, we weren't impressed. We got back after the test drive and I told the guy that I liked the way they looked but they sucked on the performance side.

Nonetheless, I eventually got rid of the 89 LX (I always thought they looked like suped-up Escorts) and somehow ended up with a 94 GT. I think it came down to it was 1996 and I was not a fan of the 4.6 liter. I liked the bodystyle but wanted a 5.0 = 94/95 mustangs.

Good question and thanks for listening!

Guess I'll be the first to post that I bought my '95GT new - bought it in August of '94.

72,000 on the odo and going strong (in 1,000 mile/year increments) ;)

I bought mine new in 1994. It was on the show room floor. Just sold it recently. I brought it to the track a week later for a baseline. My car was the only 94 out there. It got a lot of attention. Plus the Vibrant Red color changed in the light. It was orange at the track under the flourecent lighting. Went to the track 2 times a week and finally got a baseline of 14.44 at 94MPH. Then the mods began.

If you don't mind my asking Joe, how come you sold it? That was a beautiful car.

:nice: nice to know some have a way to compare brand new stock and well used stock

how did the cars fair as time went on?

you here about having a mind of their own on highways from some ?steering shaft etc...:flag:

I sold the car because it just sat in the garage rotting. Plus it paid for my truck. I have a brand new truck with no payments (which is great because it costs $75 in gas per fill up).

The 14.44 at 94MPH was on the stock Firehawk Firestone tires and no air filter. I the bought some two Weld Wheels, Mickey Thompson slicks, K&N filter, 3:55 gears, H-pipe, Flowmaster and it went 14.01 at 96MPH. The stock clutch was toast after getting it down to a 14.01.

So an SVO Heavy Duty clutch was in, MAC equal length headers, pulleys, aluminum driveshaft, Edelbrock Performer intake, 70MM Throttle Body, Elbow, Pro-M 77 MAF and it went 13.79 at 101MPH.

A few years later I added SVO GT40X aluminum heads (still have them), Crower 15511 cam, Scorpion Roller Rockers, MAC Long Tube Headers, Prochamber, MAC Cat back, 24 lb. injectors, changed the Performer upper to the RPM and it went 13.22 at 106.24MPH on street tires.

Then a Vortech S-Trim was installed and yada, yada, yada......then a 347........and so on and so on..........

The car was sold to an even bigger fanatic than me. He added an 03 interior (black leather/grey suade), new steering wheel, changed the rear chrome Cobra wheels to 10.5's with a 315 tire, a G-Force tranny with Pro Motion clutch, complete rear swap with an Auburn Pro and much, much more. He emailed me a few weeks ago and asked my thoughts on adding a Vortech SQ.

I purchased my 95GT new in August of '95 right after graduating from college. The salesman said I should wait a month for the new 4.6's and I said no I want the 5.0. :nice: I have never regretted it since.

The car was my daily driver until 2000 and it spends a lot of time in the garage now. It has 67,000 miles on it and I put about 1500 a year on it. I sits during the winters and I usually do a couple of mods each year during that time. Having the car for almost 13 year now, I don't think I will ever be able to sell it. :D

Damn Joe I didnt know you sold you car. Guess it can happen to any of us.

Im the third owner of my current 94 and out of the previous 4 Mustang Ive owned never never been the 1st.

I guess you could call mine new when I bought it. It was a demo car and never titled until I got it. Had all of 2K miles on it when I got it in March of 96. It was built in Aug of 95.
