finally got the new headgaskets on the correct way and seems to be running pretty good! But now i have a pretty bad oil leak coming from the front of the oil pan when it is running? the only thing i could think is the gasket up front slipped when i put the timing cover back on, but just wanted to make sure i wasn't missing anything else. it didn't leak when the head gaskets were on backwards just started when i got everything back together correctly

thanks

It could be the seal got tore when the HB was installed, or the timing gasket is not sealing as well.

Spray down the front of the motor (OFF of course) with parts/brake cleaner. Start it up for a few seconds. Shut the car off again and depending on how bad it is and see were the oil is. You will prob. have to look under the car.

There really is not much to the front oil wise...and it is fairly easy to strip and re-do all of it.

I have to agree with the above, that timing cover can be a PAIN to seal up!

I don't know why the heads where off, my best guess is the heads, and cam where changed at the same time... which is always a good idea!

My biggest issues in the past have been the timing cover, and the water pump seal. Bitches they are!!!
