Well, i took the trip down to g-force motorsports today to throw my little piece of heaven on the dyno. Car has been running shiesty at part throttle after i tore off the top end to freshen up all the gaskets and i wanted to see why. Here is the breakdown of the mods:

- Stock 302 Block w/ stock internals 156,000 miles
- Stock E7 Heads
- Stock Cam
- Stock Upper/Lower Intake

- MAC CAI (probly does more harm than good lol :D )
- Pro-M 75mm MAF
- BBK Shorties
- BBK O/R H-Pipe
- Pypes Violator SS Catback w/ 40 Series Flows welded in
- SHO Taurus E-fan
- Kirban AFPR

The first run netted me 226 rwhp and was dangerously lean at AFR from 15-18:1.
The second run jumped to 230 rwhp after going from 38psi to 42psi on the AFPR, and adding 5 more degrees timing, for a total of 28. AFR was still lean at 15:1 across the board
The third run we added even more fuel and came to 232 rwhp. AFR was 14:1. Still wants more fuel
The final numbers were 233 RWHP , 307 RWTQ . The fuel pressure was set @ 50psi. Sounds a bit ridiculous to me that it needed so much fuel... but i saw the AFR readings myself and were a steady 13.4:1 across the board.

To say the least i was very impressed :D as i had not been expecting to make more than 220 rwhp and about 270 rwtq. Everyone at the shop was impressed as well as they had not seen any stock HCI cars put down such numbers. The car not only runs stronger WOT now, but it doesnt hesitate at part throttle like it used to from running so lean. Time to head back to the track to see how much she picks up w/ the tuning and some sticky tires.

After all was said and done with my car a guy came in with a 07 M5 that i just had to stay and watch dyno... Filters and exhaust the car put down 452 rwhp :jaw: I shed a little tear, and left.

just a reg ol dynojet, the funny thing was the guys at the shop told me not to expect much because they said its one of the 'lower' reading dynojets in town and there were a lot of broken hearts from other owners when their vehicles put down slightly smaller numbers than expected.

DAMN good numbers. :nice: better than my 228rwhp/279rwtq with my mods. my a/f was on the opposite end of the spectrum at an extremely rich 10.0:1 LEANED out as much as the guy could get it. i've since changed/fixed a few things, so hopefully those #s will go up to where they should be, next time around.

People screen named Monkey may have headlight issues but god damn they put some dyno numbers down. That just shows how insanely capable those cars are instock trim. I swear that my stock blocked 1986 GT convert was one of the faster 5.0's Ive driven but never had it dynoed to prove it. Thats so crazy, Ford rates those at 215 horse and you pulled that. Keep it up.:nice:

yea its unbelievable that the car is still even running after all the crap its been through. I pretty much tore the top end off the car on a whim and had a chiltons manual in one hand and a pair of wrenches in the other. After putting the car back to gether (it was QUITE the learning experience) i couldnt get it to run right for 2 months.. until i figured out one of the injector harness plugs had popped off on the #8 cylinder:nonono: . Then after fixing that i figured out that i had overtorqued my stock rockers (i had em at 40 ft lbs... yes im an idiot), and even after that while laughing about the rockers w/ the guys and re-torquing them... we skipped one and had it come flying off the mount during a nice 5400rpm 3-4 shift. That was an experience in itself. So all in all, the car is god damn beast. I am a firm believer that the 302 was one of the if not THE stoutest engine i had ever seen in my life.

Nice numbers! I've never heard of g-sport, I go to PSI in clear lake, my buddy goes to Strictly Performance. Between those two shops I didn't know there were any other mustang performance shops in the area...good to know!
