alright well here is the layout...i am putting down 379 rwhp 370 rwtq on my 01 mustang gt. i'm running 255/60/15 MT ET Streets and skinnies...on my best pass i went around the water still getting a little water on my tires and didn't heat up my tires good at all...so basically my tires were still wet...here is what i ran

60 ft ------- 1.96
330 ft------ 5.40
1/8 ET----- 8.20
1/8 MPH--- 88.51
1000 ET---10.60
1/4 ET--- 12.59
1/4 MPH--- 115.86

so basically i ran a 12.5 @ 115 with a 1.96 60'...what do you think i could run with a 1.7s 60' since i'm trapping at so high

Is it an auto or stick.........2nd you need to take those DR's down to 18 psi and do a 2nd gear burn out......basically getting the rpms up to heat the tires up good! If its a 5 speed you need to launch at 5000+ rpms.....to find the sweet spot.......if its and auto.....do you have a stall???.......foot brake the car till its almost moving and just mash the gas on the green! Your 60ft will drop rapidly and so will your 1/4 times.........basically launch hard and het the tires!

I cant wait to see what I run....in APRIL when our track opens... Damn you guys in your year round tracks.... :(

If you dont have a built rear end and a stock tranny, I'd be carefull how hard you launch. Good times though! By how crappy my track is, I will probably be running a full second behind you!

Holy crap Awesome times. I'm right there where you are on track times... LOL.

Last Nov I ran a 8.12 around 87 mph with 1.83 60'

My hp and tq are close to yours. I wonder if my 1/4 times would be close to
your 12.59.

I never been to a 1/4 mile track yet.

good times man!

115mph is a great trap speed man.

Work on your 60's. If you REALLY want your best times dont puss out on the launch, it is CRUCIAL.

You should easily be able to pull better than a 1.9.

Were you able to wind 4th gear out or did you need to shift into 5th?
