Well you may want to take the starter off and get it tested to be save also while at the shop getting that done ask about the relay and see if that can be causing the issue.

BTW (its like pulling teeth to get help in the V6 forum I have found)

Get AutoZone or another shop to pull the codes for you. If there are no codes, I would take it to someone to check the static timing and the compression.

In te bad old days of plastic timing gears and inserts (i.e. the 1970's), you could have a piece of plastic break off and cause the timing chain to jump one tooth. Made it awful hard to get the engine to start. Of course the 3.8 doesn't have plastic in the timing chain assembly, but the chain or gears could be damaged anyway.

When it DOES start, how is the power? Is the MIL (Check Engine) flashing after a start?

when is does start it has all the power it idles good doesnt miss or anything it revs up fast like it should, i cant take it to autozone... so i donno how to check codes i know there i paper clip way but dont know how to do it!! thanks for the reply and i dont think the check engine light comes on i will let u know about that one
