I totaled my 99 back in 5/06 and it didnt look near that bad.....
I actually drove it a couple of miles to my house, as it was a 1 car wreck
and nobody was around. My insurance company got me a check in less
than a week for nada value ....

Was the NADA value that your insurance company gave to you the "RETAIL VALUE" or the TRADE-IN VALUE" for you car??

haha

... Yah man sorry, but it is definitly totalled, i just totaled my 2000 2 months ago, head on, and it didnt look that bad, and my air bags did not deply.

Just means its time to upgrade to a V8

Here's a 2001 Mustang GT V8 that I like a lot:

I'm not sure whether or not I want to buy another Mustang right now. I got a 3 year old kid and I need a lot more room. Plus the wife tells me that I need a larger car which can be used as a family car. If the insurance company is going to total my 02 V6 Mustang, I'm thinking of buying the 2008 Dodge Charger SXT with the 250hp High Output 3.5 Liter V6 engine. I love the way the Dodge Charger SXT looks like. Plus, Dodge has the "Unlimited Powertrain Warranty" which is good for the life of the car and unlimited miles as long as I am the first original owner. You cannot beat that type of warranty for a car.

Sorry to hear about your accident. The car is Totaled. The parts needed to make the repairs PLUS the labor + paint will far exceed the value of the car. Just not worth it. My uncle is an insurance adjuster and I've seen less of a wreck totaled out.

Look on the bright side though, you don't have to worry about your headlights lining up perfectly anymore! :)

I'm waiting for the insurance appraiser to go out to see the car. He has not gone out to look at my car yet. I'm crossing my fingers and praying that he will say that it's totalled. I do NOT want to have to fix all the damage that's currently on my Mustang and then have to get stuck with it and have problems with it. I'm having a very hard time trying to relax and I'm currently having a lot of anxiety just having to wait to hear from the insurance appraiser about this issue.

Nope.... my opinion (OPINION) is that it will be repaired.

Please tell me what makes you think that it can be repaired? I would like to hear your reasoning behind your opinion. Please also remember that my Mustang is NOT a GT. It is a V6 with the 5 speed manual transmission in it with the Premium Package (leather seats, alloy wheels, Mach Stereo system with the multiple CD player, traction control, power driver's seat). And it is a 2002 model year Mustang.

That car should not be repaired and demand it be totaled. Ask for fair market value of the vehicle. What would it cost to put you in the same vehicle in the condition/mileage your car was before it was hit.

My 01 GT got his in the same area and my bumper was intact still and the car ran. Radiator didn't even leak. Both airbags deployed. I had frame damage. Car totaled.

That car def has frame damage. If that car ever got fixed it will be branded a frame damaged car on all vin history checks therefore greatly reducing the cars trade in and private party value.

You lose if this car gets repaired.

More importantly if that other vehicle that hit you blew a stop sign I would've had the cop ticket him/her for failure to obey a stop sign. Then when you go to call the drivers insurance company to make a claim you inform them there driver received a ticket for failure to obey a stop sign. This puts them 100% at fault and they must work with you to make you happy.

You may have already done most of this. But really research your options here.

Chargers are nice, but also don't overlook the nicer V6 altimas, Maximas, Accords and the like. You'll be impressed with the refinement and power of these cars.

I need a 4 door full size car. I personally don't like the Maxima because it looks ugly and it is not a full size car. I was also looking at the Accord, but the Accord is smaller in size when compared to the Charger SXT. I do not care so much about the horsepower because I feel that 250hp is plenty for a 3,800 lb. car like the Dodge Charger.
I still like the Charger because you get a lot of room and better styling and a lot of options for the money. The Charger also has the "Lifetime Powertrain Warrany" which the Maxima and the Accord do NOT have. Plus, the Charger looks a lot sharper and much nicer than the Maxima and Accord.

I hope that you are right. I don't want to keep and drive a car like this which has had this much damage either. I hope that the insurance appraiser and adjuster total my car.

How about the new Hyundi Genesis? It's a 4-door equipped with 375hp. Suppose to compete with BMW's and Benz. Just a poor man's version, like 300's are to Bentley's.
