93 cobra or 94

There is a sticky at the top of the home forum page that explains the differences with the cobras. I just wanted to let you know in case you didn't see it. As far as power goes, most 94-95 Cobras I've heard of or seen on this forum put out around 220 rwhp stock (which is around 260 bhp, considering 15% drivetrain loss.) This means the Cobras were underrated from Ford by about 20 horsepower. I believe 93 Cobras might have like 5 rwhp less, but they also weigh less than the 94-95 Cobras. They are about the same as far as 1/4 mile times stock. They pretty much have the exact same engine, besides a different TB in the 93 (65mm), and very slightly underdriven pullies and engine oil cooler in the 94-95. It pretty much comes down to which look you prefer. Just advancing the timing on these cars or getting a dyno tune makes a big difference in perfomance. Mine put down 255 rwhp and 299 tq with the boltons in my sig with a dynotune.

What are the power numbers/ 1/4 times of both and which would be better to buy?

Sorry I forgot to answer the 1/4 mile question. The magazines of the day "Car and Driver" & "Road and Track" were clocking mid to high 13 second quarter mile times for both cars. Keep in mind that is probably with bumped timing and a pro driver. Most people were running in the low 14's with both cars stock. Hope this helps

I have seen a 93 Cobra go 13.70's@104. I have also seen a 94 Cobra with 3.55's go 13.60@102.

I like the fox better....rarer, faster, and better looking IMO.

They both make about 230-240 rwhp, but the 93 is about 200 lbs lighter.

I never saw anything better than a 14.4 from C&D or MT for either car...I think I remember a 14.4@96 for the 93 and a 14.9@94 for the 94-95.

MMFF had the numbers I posted.
