New Camera, New Pics

Well I finally joined the digital SLR crowd and picked up a used Olympus EVOLT E-300 for a great price...here's a couple shots I took this morning, just playing around, trying to battle the lack of sun while messing around with a few different settings. Then I ran the shots thru Photoshot for just an automatic 'quick-fix'. I used the local mall's parking lot, but couldn't find an area without cars and without palm trees and power lines in the background, so knock off a couple points for crappy picture composition...!

LOL - SO True my friend...I was just reviewing all my pics and thinking the same - I need to pull it off and do a little massage work on it. Thanks!

BTW, I saw all your photos - what you've done with your Mach 1 is awesome - very well thought out - tasteful, gorgeous. (I hate you 4V people!!! )

A couple more pics

Here's a couple more pics - the NOS Pony in the grill and the rear license plate frame. I painted both of these by hand. The license plate frame is just simple lettering done over penciled draft. The Pony out front was a bit more work. I cleaned the pony, then shot it with rattle can duplicolor black. I then downloaded, resized and printed the NOS logo, then taped and traced the outline onto the pony. Then I just carefully painted the logo and finished it off with 3 or 4 coats of clear (yet I still have a couple chips missing already - which is ok, it matches my hood that is FILLED with chip marks - can't wait to finish painting my cowl hood ).

Other than these couple of hints, it's pretty low key - nice looking, but, hey, it's just a GT..!

Oh it is pretty clean, but it needs some body work. The left headlight is all fogged out, there are some spots on the hood where there a lot of scratches and dings, theres a nice dent on the gas tank lol, and it needs some tranny help and something else is wrong with the engine but i cant quite figure out what it is. Sometimes when i would be idling at a light my car will amost stall on me and its an automatic. the rpm's will rev below 500 and then spike to almost 1000 by itself, so i got to figure out what the problem is with that...
