A quick check of the auto parts catalogs show that they all use the same housing and sensor. Looks like a one to one swap.
1995-94 Mustang 3.8L F2VF-12B579-A2A,
1994-92 Crown Victoria 4.6L F2VF-12B579-A2A,
1995-94 Mustang, Mustang Cobra 5.0L F2VF-12B579-A2A,
1994-92 Town Car 4.6L F2VF-12B579-A2A,
1994-92 Grand Marquis 4.6L F2VF-12B579-A2A,
Evidently the –A1A, -A2A, AA, etc. on the end of the part number is a minor variant that did not change the operating specs. You should be able to ignore it and have everything work good.
All the above will interchange without any modifications
I put a 94-95 MAF on my fox, runs great.I cut off the 4 bolt flange, cleanly rounded it and put it in the stock elbows, worked perfect.
Here's some pics of the MAF and adapter installed.
I've never looked at one of those live and in person, so forgive if it's
a stupid question - I'm just looking at the pic:
Would it be possible just to cut off the flange and slip the hose onto
the MAF? The pic makes it look like there's enuf length.

Gee, too lazy to read though all of the posts, huh?
Yes, you can do that. You can either:
1) Use paper towels and stuff the **** out of the front/back of the MAF to prevent shavings from getting into the sensor.
2) Better yet, remove the sensor, cut the flange, smooth with sandpaper, clean completely with Acetone, put sensor back in, *carefully slide hose over the MAF body, clamp the hose, do a dance, get a coke, vote for Paris Hilton for President, and then you're all set!

anyone have pictures of the 94/95 maf with the flange cut off?
As impressive as you think your easy find was none of those adapters will fit the MAF from a 94/95 Mustang. The inlet is way too big for the Mustangs air filter hose and the bolt holes don't even come close to being right. Been there, tried that.
