Is 1999+ t-5 in 1995 mustang gt possible?

I want to do a aod to t-5 conversion in my '95 mustang gt, but i dont want to go through having to rebuild a transmission. I know the t-5 out of 94-98 3.8L would work but finding one that i wont have to rebuild might be hard. I know the 99+ t-5 will bolt up to my 5.0L, but i was told that the speedo drive is different. Has anyone done this? Can my 95 be converted to use this speedo drive?

the 94-95 are mechanical gear but the vss converts it to electrical, but the new ones are electical, Iam not sure if they will bolt up due to different blocks.

thanks i will check into vss. I know i will have to use the 5.0L bellhousing to get the trans bolted up.

i was always under the impression that 96 and up manual transmissions were t-45's??? i could be wrong though

no ur correct, but v6s still had the t5
