Clam down buddy- this should be in tech..

BUT did you remove the fuel pump and fan fuses? Have you tried to reflash the car again?

If it erased your factory tune, it should have saved it first in your xcal2- just go through the menu and do the return to stock option. If you dont have a stock tune SCT can send you a stock tune.

If the SCT tune got far enough, it will lock Ford out of the ECU... Try dealing with SCT first.

I didnt take out any fuses I never have and hadnt had any problems. The problem is when the tuner died it wont turn on anymore. Everytime i plugged it in nothing happened and it wouldnt start up or light up it just died halfway through tuning

I was there with him last night when the SCT died in the middle of no where.
The tuner just shut off after he selected to load the stock tune to his car. It got to about 9 or 10% and then the screen shut off.

Now the SCT will not turn on when you plug it into the car, and his car will NOT start...even after disconnecting the battery and trying to reset it. The car's battery is full, the starter tries to start it, but nothing happens.

The Odometer shows - - - - - - - -

you need to call SCT and have a new one sent out. If it started flashing I dont think Ford can fix it... The SCT tune locks the dealers out.

You ALWAYS need to take your FP and fan fuses out per SCT instructions.

Did you try calling SCT.. what did they say?

Yes he was, Thanks for the help guys. I was really stressing out when the tuner shut off when the car had no tune and I couldn't change it and was in the middle of no where. I pushed my car almost a mile LOL to get it to a safe parking lot
and all just for a fuse. Now Im wonderin what would have caused that fuse to blow?

You was flashing your car while driving? I dont get how you got stranded? Did you flash it while you away from home?

Glad someone on the forum knew what the problem was. Saved you quite abit of money im guessing.

were were trying to see if the sct would let us put the tune on my car since its been acting up so bad....
We met up and had dinner at In & Out... then we went for a little "closed course" farm-road test drive and found ourselves stuck out there when the fuse blew, trying to re-flash his car out on the farm roads at 10pm :rlaugh:

Probably a voltage surge. The fuse worked as designed but in the future I'd follow the instructions and remove the fuel pump and fan fuses before flashing. If the fan or fuel pump cycles during the flash that is likely what caused the fuse to blow. Next time it may be more serious.
