GT foglight brackets supposedly weigh quite a bit. I don't care what they weigh; I wouldn't be removing my brake booster or working cruise control for any reason.

yea they are already off. I don't care about cruise control so thats going. Brake booster I would have to see what side effects there would be before that goes.

evap box (charcoal cannister) doesn't weigh that much, i wouldn't recommend removing it if you park in an enclosed space. it keeps gas fumes from your tank from venting into the atmosphere. it's located on the passenger side fender near the smog pump though..... just a little black box with a couple lines running into it...

what about a/c, smog pump, bigger stuff like that?

Keep your brake booster. Brakes and steering are two things you don't want to give up... especially on these things. You will need all the brakes and steering you can get. The dogbone on the rear axle is dead weight. Some say it helps dampen vibration but given that you would give up your brakes, Dogbone might be a better option. Fog light brackets, AC system, Smog system depending on your laws, rear seats, stereo(speakers are magnets)... I am not sure how far you want to go with this.

yea i think the dogbone is gonna go

There are side impact braces in the door that weigh a ton. You can cut them out and maybe weld some tubular ones in. I have seen a tubular front and rear bumper which will reduce a bit a weight but I don't know how safe these are in an accident. Are you planning on spending some money to reduce the weight or just trying to strip the car. Is this your daily driver or pretty much a track car? I would suggest Aluminium heads. Takes about 40-50 lbs off the front tires but that will cost you a grand easy. Sound deadening, trunk carpet. Relocate your battery to the trunk will offset the weight which is almost as good as removing it.

It's my street/strip car... yea im actually waiting for that tubular front bumper to come in the mail haha, I did the sound deadening, the trunk carpet, relocated battery, no smog,no a/c, fog lights and bracket, metal brackets under my rear interior panels, racing seats, fiberglass hood, no hood latch equipment, alum d/s, welds with skinnies, alum. rad., removed front swaybar.. thats all i can think of. But I'm trying to make up for the weight added by my 6 pt.
