Broken Shift Boot Clip?

Okay, I was removing my shift boot on my '01 Bullitt to see if I was on the stock shifter or not, seeing as I bought the car used, and didn't know if the previous owner replaced it or not. Anyway, when I replaced the boot, all 4 compression clips clicked, but the boot is now loose at the very bottom, where the guy is holding his hand in the following picture:

I'm not sure, but I think I broke the piece on the boot itself that connects to the following clip which is highlighted in red:

That piece is still there, but the one on the boot itself I believe is broken. It's not noticeable that it's broken until you grab it, and then it only moves a little more than before it broke, but is there any way to fix it? Can I just purchase a new one from Ford? Maybe a DIY fix? Thanks!

Sorry I can't answer your question about the clip but is that a fog light switch next to the trac control button? If so somebody added those fog lights as Bullitts did not come with them stock. All wires are in place from the factory but not the lights or button. Just wondered.
