oh, no...No big block going in my car. i was thinking of what i want to do to my engine when it comes time to overhaul, and one of my ideas was to swap in a 351winsor. only thing is i dont think i want it fuel injected. though i know the 351 is somewhat a direct fit for some of the parts to keep it street/smog legal.

I'll never understand why people intentially ruin a good EFI foxbody by putting a carb on it.
The EFI setup on a foxbody is just as good for performance as a carb, except for the car runs alot better.
Trying to sell a once EFI car that is carb'ed is no easy task either.

It is much easier to learn how it works and then let it work for you...

I'll spare you the heap of negative comments I normally have for this type of work...

Here's a book that will get you started with how the Ford electronic engine control or "computer" works.

Ford Fuel Injection & Electronic Engine Control 1988-1993 by Charles Probst :ISBN 0-8376-0301-3.

It's about $30 from Borders.com see http://www.amazon.com/ . Select boo...very good, and I found it to be very helpful.

carbs make sense for race only setups because they are cheaper to build. But yes, if you want to do that, you should get a 4 banger fox and convert that to a 351W
