I got the Dart 351 Block last week, the oil pan and pick up showed up with a balancer and flexplate too. Just got the oil pump and pan gasket today. Rotating assembly is at the machinist getting balanced. Should have the full shortblock assembled in a week or so. Then i need to get the heads and intake. That will be a few more weeks. Especially if the stock market keeps taking a dump. I was using some stock cash to get my heads. Oh well. Have to wait a few more weeks I guess. Here's the specs so far:

DSS Dart 351 Clevor Block (Windsor block with Cleveland 4 bolt mains)
SVO 408 Crank
Forged Pistons & Rods dished for Boost
Heads: (still deciding) Kaase Nascar Race heads or TFS CNC High Ports
Intake: Still deciding
Tranny: C6 being built as we speak by Merkl race shop

That's all to speak of for now. Will update with pics as the build goes on.

Sweet, should be fun once you get her in.

Here's pics of the block so far. Internals are still at machine shop being balanced.

Wooo Hooo!!! That is going to be a monster!! I see you've been busy! :nice:

Ya I'm back at this craziness. Can't believe I'm doing another car after how much a pain the 96 was but I want a pure race car. Something I can take to the track and if it blows up... oh well leave it in the garage. Good to see you are still alive, hope things are going good for you out there in the frozen tundra of Manitoba.

Well hopefully you won't have many problems but as you say, if something comes up, you can just leave it till you get some renewed ambition to tie into it again. Plus you can hack some weight out of it if you want without worrying about taking away from the streetability [I think that's a word?]

LOL, things are going good, twas a busy summer/winter at work, didn't even get chance to take the Stang to the track this past summer, which I guess is a good thing b/c I was always worried about blowing it up whenever I went anyway :bang:

Frozen tundra is right, sure seems like it's been a friggen cold winter, either that or I'm just getting soft in my old age :)
I should have more time to come on here this next while, gotta check in to see how you're making out with the new project :nice:

Well the saga continues. Here's the way the project continues but a little different. i got an oppurtunity i could not pass up. The car is getting vinyl wrapped as a sponsorship deal and it looks amazing. I don't have finished product pictures yet cause it isn't done but here's a sneak peak.

and what it should look like after

The vinyl is pretty cool. When you're up close you can see the seams but driving and at the track it will be perfect. Can't wait to see it finished.

Well here she is so far. Looks incredible in person.

Wow!!! I'm completely stunned! That looks incredibly awesome, holy crap!:nice:
I'm not sure what I was expecting, for some reason I was thinking you picked up an old beater and were going to strip it, fill in the rust holes and go racing, I sure wasn't thinking it to be SOOOOOOO nice!:hail2: You da man!

Thanks man. The car's in pretty good shape. Perfect for a drag car. For a 20 year old car it's held up well but the interior is a little worse for wear but that makes it perfect for a drag car. I'm just gonna gut it anyway.
