I will be buying a new Mustang in the next month as soon as my truck sells. I was initially looking at a GT, but then I made the mistake of test driving a Bullitt. I was then sold on a Bullitt, but now am second guessing myself. To help you understand my indecision, I am going to keep the car *BONE STOCK*. I have had cars in the past (and now have a truck) that I have modded to the point of making them uncomfortable and impractical to use as a daily driver. My intention for this car will to be use it for a good-running daily driver. I love how smooth and quiet the S197's ride and drive--lightyears ahead of my SN95. They drive almost as well as a non-performance car. I am very impressed with the new platform.
I do like the 3.73 rear end and extra 20 horse of the Bullitt. It may be in my mind but it also seemed to handle better and ride smoother. Since I will be keeping it stock, I also like that the exhaust already has a good sound to it. Add in the intake (cool looking if not functional), slightly lowered stance, better seats, guages, shifter and exclusivity and the car has a lot going for it. I still can't get over how plain and blah it looks. I understand that is the goal, but I wish it had a spolier, foglights and better looking wheels. I like the clean look but at the same time it reminds me of a base model V6. I also really prefer grey or tan leather over the black, and I don't care for either of the color choices. Decisions, decisions. What would you guys put an emphasis on when looking at a new Stang? Keep in mind the car will be bone stock. As soon as I did the first mod, I wouldn't be able to stop. A simple intake and exhaust would soon turn into Kenne Bell and drag radials lol. So what would you do?
