I just got a 66 with an I6 in it. It is a California car with an air pump. The tube that leads to the exhaust ports has a hole in it and I want to remove the entire air pump set up.

Can I just take the assembly out and just plug the holes that lead to the exhaust? If so does anyone know what I will need to plug them?

Thank you

The holes in the head can be plugged with a tapered pipe plug (mine were the allen type). I've done this to a V8 (should be similar for a I6).
