01 Cobra seats Installed

Didn't realize that about the 99s, thought they were the same as the 01s. That will make it even harder to find, so I may just end up with plain black rears in (p)leather worst case I guess.

Cool link about making them fully recline. I've got the passenger side in already, took my time cleaning up the carpet and crap but ran out of daylight for the drivers side. Looks like I'm going to be splicing anyway so I've got a trip to the auto store for some electrical connection pieces. The connectors don't mate up.

Not sure if the new edges are the same, but my SN95 had the selt belt connections bolted on to the tunnel of the car beneath the center console and the Cobra seats come attached. I'm going to use the Cobra ones as they sit lower and slide with the seat itself, so it should be more comfortable, but going to require some more work on the drivers side seat (more splicing).

They look really good. Not much for the Cobra emblem in the GT though. J/K

you should be able to take those to any auto interior upholstery shop, and they can match up the suede and replace just that section the cobra is in relatively cheap, with just a plain area.

Damn those look good!!! I actually like the cobra emblem in the seats personally. Those seats work really well with our color of interior. Was the installation hard for the driver seat?

Thanks. Not too bad Silver to get the driver's side going. I had some trouble initially when I first wired them up as they came undone when I temp put the seat in place and thought I had connected them up wrong, but figured that out soon enough. I with you in that the Cobra emblems don't bother me as well.

I also chose to use the seatbelt connectors on the seat instead of the stock ones mounted to the tunnel, so that added a little more wiring, but again, not a problem. Sum it up, had to go from a two wire connector to a four wire setup on the seat. Greens got power, black got ground wires and the thiner blueish wire got power from the seatbelt power and used crimping connectors.

i took my plastic seatbelt loops off my car...they got on my nerves, so I just got rid of them I think the car looks better without them on.

I've considered taking the loops off of my seats aswell though seems like it could be somewhat tough to get the torx in there to remove the bolts

just get a small torx head bit for like those small screwdrivers with interchangeable bits raise the headrests as much as possible, then find the round end of a socket wrench...matchup the size so when you put the torx bit in one hole it won't rotate inside the wrench...use that to unbolt the plastic loops.
