All the switches in my drivers side door quit working, No power locks or windows.

The window switch works fine on the passengers side but no power door locks on that side either so I am led to belive it is maybe in the wiring in the drivers side door and somehow it effects the door lock switch on the passengers side too cause they are tied together.

Has anyone else had this problem and is it something find and I could fix myself??

I had a similar problem in my jeep a few days ago. Check the fuses to see if any are blown, replace them if they are. If it continues to blow fuses (like mine did) then its got a short somewhere. The trouble with electrical crap is that the problem could be in several different spots. My pass. side doorlock circuit kept blowing, but the short circuit was in the rear liftgate. good luck.

check the wiring in the rubber boot between the door and door post
Have seen several broken wires due to continued bending when door is opened/closed

Thats kind of what I was thinking the problem could be.

I already checked all the fuses and they are fine.

Is the door panel hard to remove?
Does it just pop off or is there some hidden screws?

Its been a long time since I've removed the door panel but IF I remember correctly...

There is very little to removing the door. Get a flat head screwdriver and gently remove the plastic insert where the window/lock switches reside. Remove any screws/clips hiding behind that. Unplug the switches-again be gentle. Next there are some screws at the bottom of the door which need to be removed and there may also be something on the inside door (between the inner door and front fender). After all retaining clips/screws/switches lift the panel up and it should pop out. It will need to slide forward to get around your inner door latch. There is a white plastic protective something that needs to be removed to get at any motors/wires hiding within the door. Remove this with great care as you will want to reinstall it after your problems are fixed.

Remember what came from where so that you can put it back together after you fix your problem.

Trust me this isnt that hard. I drove to my local 1/4 track with my windows down (90min) only to find that my drivers side window wouldnt go up. I was unable to pass tech to even get on the track. With minimal tools I was able to remove the panel (put it in my trunk) get the window up and race.

In my case I think that while detailing my car I sprayed too much ArmorAll into my switches and gunked them up. They are tempermental, if I switch from up and down enough at with just the right amount of pressure they work, just pressing them doesnt get the job done.

Others may chime in if I got things mixed up, good luck with your project.

He has it covered pretty well, just wanted to add a couple of items.......
remove the mirror triangle trim piece inside, there is one screw behind the switch panel and a plastic push pin on the inside edge of the panel next to the spaeker grille. Make sure you lift the panel upwards as the panel has tabs that slide into holes in the door and they will break if the panel is pulled outward before they clear.

Good Luck
