I wanna know from you guys out there that have stainless steel brake line hoses installed whether they really make that big a difference in braking as compared to the stock rubber hoses......been thinking of changing mine out (both front & rear) but not sure if its worth my time and money.....any opinions welcome.....thanks

...but not sure if its worth my time and money.....

I replaced the front brake lines with ss lines, added Speed Bleeders at the four corners, changed out the brake fluid, and bled the brakes one weekend. I didn't notice much of a difference. I don't stop hard much, and I guess the brake system was in good shape to start with.

It doesn't take much time or money to do this, and you probably would notice a bigger improvement than me. I think it is worthwhile to do, ESPECIALLY the Speed Bleeders.

There is a difference for sure! I have the max motors set on my fronts. You won't notice as big a difference unless you go from rubber to stainless all around, front/rear. I also have stainless lines on my bike, which is a HUGE difference being that the vehicle is so light haha.

Who makes SS brake line hoses for the rear brakes ? I looked at MM website and it looks like they do not make them for the rear brakes.

They used to have them but they had leak issues and pulled them off the site. I'm surprised they haven't updated that with new parts yet. That was years ago. I could use em in the back myself.

i just picked up a pair of SS lines on monday. i will be doing my cobra brake install a week from sunday and putting them on.

i'll let you know if they make a differance when i get to drive my car again in july:(

I noticed a HUGE difference before i even drove the car. I put them on, started the car up and the pedal felt firmer.

Upon driving you could tell the difference because when you hit the brake pedal there was instant response. There isn't any give in the lines like rubber hoses so all the pedal pressure is going towards pushing the pistons rather than expanding rubber hose.

I highly recommend it. I just recently took my 13" brakes off so i could sell the car and immediately noticed the pedal felt softer with the stock rubber lines

I don't beleive there are rear brake SS lines avail, but if any of you have ever bled your brakes you would know the rears see far less pressure than the fronts.

Also, bleed your brakes yearly. I always notice improved performance after every bleed.
