Kenne Bell Idler Pulley Noise

Since last weekend I noticed the squeeking noises coming from my idler pullies are getting really bad. I've actually had the noise since day 1 after the install, but it seems to be getting louder now. Makes my car sound like a $200 piece of CHIT. Anyway, after it warms up, the noise eventually goes away. I've done the WD-40 thing on them to help quiet down the noise but there's gotta be a better solution. It's the two pullies that came with my KB that sit right below the supercharger itself that have the blue bolts. I know they are the culprit because as soon as I spray them with a bit of WD-40 they quiet right down and the noise goes away temporarily until they warm up eventually and then the noise is gone. Are there any other types of pullies I could use in place of the KB ones? I found some Metco ones and Billet Flow ones. Any suggestions at this point that would be a permenant solution and stop this damn noise would be appreciated!

I have not had a problem with mine yet since my install ( 1yr). BUT, I did have to replace my belt tensioner already because the tensioner arm bent and made my belt rub against my front cover!!!! That was bad.. I went went with metco pulleys on them.

I would replace your idlers with metco.. IMO

OH, how in the hell did you get 390 rwhp and 400 tq..:hail2: :hail2:

Mine was tuned on a mustang dyno and only got 365 rwhp. LOL

They did keep mine conservative. like 11.5 A/F ratio.

Is yours more on the lean side to get almost 400 rwhp. ( thats awesome )

Thanks for the reply. Can you post up a pic of your setup with the Metco pullies? Which size would I use 90MM or 100MM? Kenne Bell knows about the problem but doesn't have a solution.

As far as making 390 RWHP, that's what all KB's around here in UTAH with the same setup make. I am actually a little light on HP since I'm still using the stock MAF and air intake, throttlebody. My AF actually was 11.5 as well, I just used KB's tune that came on the chip. I put down 409 RWHP on a Dynometer last week.

I dont have a camera right know, But the idler pulleys your talking about that come from kb are still on my car. I do have Metco pullyes for the 2 down below.(tensioner pulleys) those are the ones I had problems with..

But *****, if you found metco pulleys to replace those top 2. I would defenitly get those.

Oh, you used their kb chip.... ok.

When I orderd mine I told them I didn't want their chip..I went with the SCT X-cal2 and got it tuned ..

I pulled on a 08 vette (auto) this week on the interstate from 70 to 109. So that made me happy with what I got so far ... :D
