Going to the track today!

WORST TRACK PREP EVER!! It was opening day and they still had all the old rubber, and junk from last year all down the track. Every car was spinning like crazy every gear, cant launch, cant power shift, it was crap! I made two 14 second runs having to babyfoot every run, and getting squirly I said thats it. Even full race cars on slicks were getting nutty, bolt on 03 04 cobras runing 14 every one, brand new z06 running 14s. I asked for my money back, and they said no. That really pissed me off. There was a number of cars that came close to the wall. Thats just not safe... I hope someone does get hurt and sues this weekend with all the traffic theyll have with opening weekend, what the hell were they thinking??!

My first outting this year will be on the 19th(13 more days:D :D :D ). Only difference this year over last are the Nitto radials(wider/heavier wheels:notnice: )and the lowering springs. It will be interesting to see if I can best my 13.345 at full weight and 13.109 after serious weight reduction. I may go with everything and then pull it all out as it won't take more than 45 minutes tops! That isn't a problem as we have a 4 hour private track rental with about 50 cars:rock:

Yeah, i like the 3.31's because i dont have to shift into 4th ;P

And 4.10's will kill gas mileage :(

I got my 13.2 with a 2.0 60ft, so im thinking if i can just practice my launches, and warm up the MT's some more, 1.8 is a very possible 60ft. With that said, 12's should be accomplished. Ordering LTs, and UDP's pretty soon here.

3.55's don't have to shift into 4th either. 4.10's with a blower on the highway I get 24mpg. 4.10's before blower I was getting 22.5mpg on the highway. 4.10's in the city before blower I was getting 19ish. AFter the blower...13.7 heh

Nope. Going to Cordova. They're finishing up a bunch of improvements right now so we can host more national events, so I'm hoping for a well prepped track.

PM me when you go and I'll show up too. I have always liked Cordova. I think you can pull off a 12 there as long as the track is warm enough. I ran a 13.04 there last year with my car when it only had about 700 miles on it.

I am also shooting for a 12.9 out of my 3:31s. I have an auto running 13.39 best e/t and 104.56 best mph at full weight. I am hoping that a drive shaft, tires, and i bit of weight reductions will get me close. What do you guys think?

Our times are pretty close, however mine was using 4.10s. I took out nearly 200 lbs and dropped just over .25 second, but my 330' times were hideous due to massive amounts of tire spin on the OEM BFGs! My 60' times were no better than at full weight, so I know with sticky tires, I could've been running 12.9s or better:D

Ok, will do. Planning on the 19th of this month if the weather cooperates. Probably the following Friday as well. They'll be open the 12th and 13th, too, but it looks like rain and cold weather.

i don't know why everyone hates the 3:31's. I loved them in my car. hell i pulled some 12.80's & 12.90's consistantly out of a basically stock auto car.

mods:
steeda ud pullies
catback
jms mass air and open k&n
and dyno tuned

stock auto car, full weight trapping around 106. my best was 106.70.

since then i've lowered the car and done some suspension work, put a 3:73 and added 20's. really didn't feel a difference going from 3:31 to 3:73 though.
