Comp Thumper camshaft

Does anyone know about the COMP CAMS THUMPER CAMSHAFTS. I know you want more lift on the exhaust side but this one is a little shy.very weird duration too never seen anything like it.


Part #'s 249-35-"600 or 601 or 602" -8.

Has anyone dealt with these cams?I remember hearing somthing bout them but cant remember if good or bad.

They are made to rumble like holy hell, that's basically the whole point of 'em. They can make some good power, but I'd rather have something that's pretty lumpy and have a better driving car that makes all the power it can (aka the right cam for the combo).

they are supposed to sound super lumpy without all the associated drivability issues. from what I have heard they are meant for a carb'd application.

what cam do you guys recommend?i want the lope but i need the power i'm building a 347 stroker short block now

What heads are you going to run and what is the car going to be use for mostly?

you asked for it. custom cam. if you are looking for an ots cam then I really like the trickflow cams.

ya custom is going to be my next route. As for heads I'm thinkin bout some AFRs mabey some twisted wedge.What you guys think bout the Trick Flow cams?
can someone gimmy a quick class on duration?

Thumpers have some high duration to get the lope IIRC. They're not too bad on lift though... .540's IIRC.
