1997 Cobra?

I have a good line on an 97' green Cobra coup with 78k on the car. The owner is in his late 60's. He has all the paper work a used car buyer could want. The car is all stock, and I mean all stock. He is asking $10,500, do you think that is a good price? I miss my stang so bad I need another on. I love this body style cobra. Are all the 96-98 Cobras the same?
Thanks,
Brandon

Congrats on the Cobra, they only made the Pacific Green Cobra in 97 so it's one of the more rare colors to see. For the most part the 96-98 Cobras are the same other then a few changes like the 96 having cooling issues that were fixed for the 97 & 98's. Also the headrests are different for the 97 & 98, they are non adjustable forward and back. The rims for the 98's are different, 5 stars Cobra Rish look-a-like. No dash clock for the 98's also.

Congrats on the car, about a few thousand too high though.
I have seen some really nice ones in autotrader for a couple thousand less with a bunch of parts. There was a 96 with a full griggs suspension and some bolt ons for 7500 a couple months ago.

Where were you guys when he asked if the price was too high 3-weeks ago?

It's called shopping and a good part of it is research, and waiting for the right car with the right price. Seems he waited 2 days and should have waited more. A Cobra in excellent shape and that mileage goes for $8500 in his area.

I waited at least 6 months for my LS1. I watched the price tag go lower and lower and saved myself 2 grand and paid 6k with 68k on it. Shopping also means possibly waiting it out and not biting on the first car or price you see.

there was a white 97 by my house i could have gotten for lik 8000-8500, but i couldnt sell my car quick enough. and all it needed was tires and an idler pulley, then it was perfect. by the way that one only had 24000 miles on the clock. a womens late husbands.
