So, on Friday I was coming home on 520 west bound in stop and go traffic, well, a truck in front of me decides to stop very abruptly... Now, normally, this is not a problem, never has been a problem. So, I try to stop the car... no dice, my front tires were on a long metal expansion joint and all that happened were the tires locked up and I slid at 1 MPHish. I nudged the 2007 silverado in front of me. Plastic versus metal, and I didn't even wipe the dust off of his bumper with mine. I mean GAWD, if I am going to have my first accident ever, at least make it worth it!!!

Anyhow, long story short, I have to take it to a shop in Auburn tomorrow and I was wondering if there was anyone who could give me a lift back to Edmonds:) It's a long shot, but ya never know:nice: I could help with gas or maybe beer, or maybe for a future favor.

Thank you drive through please.

Well, here is the story with Auburn... Andy (friend) works at the thoroughbred down there. And ironically, the thoroughbred in Edmonds isn't a Farmers preffered shop because it cannot handle the volume. So, with a friend who is a mustang nut, I am sure the job will be absolutely amazing.

Why, you volunteering:)

If you can get back up to downtown Seattle by 16:00, no problem. :D

You could probably spend the night with Dennis and Tamara in SeaTac, then he could drop you off the next morning at Kidd Valley and you could walk home from there.

:rlaugh:

Hey dude, sucks to hear about that car. What time are you bringing it down tomorrow?

I did a little research and farmers WILL NOT pay for OEM parts if aftermarket or junkyard parts are available. We will talk about it more tomorrow but eric said the only way that you can get them to use new OEM parts are if you pay the difference or throw a fit about how it fits with the aftermarket parts.

So hopefully we can get it figured out and get your car up and running again. Like I said bring that bumper so I can get it painted for you.

Andy

Well, I just dropped the car off at Thoroughbred in Auburn. Eric and Andy seem to really know what needs to be done and a game plan seems to already be in action. As far as Farmers, I can be a dick, so I have no plans on backing off if I have any issues with them.

Thanks for all of the heads up's:)

Hey Corey, It was nice meeting you today. We got your car into the shop just after you left and Andy pulled the lamps out and the bumper off. We didn't find any hidden damage, other than the left headlamp had a broken tab and will need replacement. I am working on putting together your estimate and will call you a little later to give you the scoop.

Now I just cant see that taking place! You were very nice at hp ranch, then again I think it was all fun and games that day.

Hope all works out for you and I am truly sorry to read about this. Sucks everytime something is not perfect with the car:notnice:
