Ok so I found a set of small subs with a box and everything, ready to go. I have an amp, a 600amp. I can get a amp instal kit from my work for free so thats not a problem, and my battery is in the rear so this should be a easy install. Im just guessing that there is a wire that will run from the amp to the cd player of course. Anyone know whitch it would be coming out of the amp, and whitch wire i need to connect it to behind the cd player? I have an aftermarket harness connected to the stock harness.

I have this site, and my wire colors match up to them, so Basically all i need is to run a speaker wire from my amp the blue wire, and speaker wire from the amp to the subs , and do all the battery stuff, and thats it right?

Well it all depends on what type of amp and head unit you have. Typically you will need to run a remote turn on wire and signal wires between the head unit and the amp.

If your head unit has RCA preouts then you will want to use those. Specific sub preouts would be the best choice. Then you will connect the remote turn on wire to either a the solid blue or blue with a white stripe wire coming out of the head unit. You don't want to connect the amp turn on to the radio antenna or the amp will shut off when you switch sources from the radio.

(In most cases the amp turn on output is blue/white stripe and the radio antenna is solid blue...but I've seen the opposite between different manufacturers.)

Everything else is pretty straight forward. Power to the battery, ground to clean metal (the shortest distance from the amp the better) and the amp should have a specific terminal for the turn on wire from the head unit.

Good luck :nice:
