.....re-blade one? In other words, I have a used Fusion key cut for another ignition. Is it possible to have a new blade installed so it can be cut to fit my Mustang or is the key trash. Did some searching but all I find is that they do sell them on e-bay stating they can be re-bladed but no info as to how. Thanks........

I haven't researched it at all, but I really like the keyless remotes that the likes of Nissan offer. With all of the aftermarket push-button starts, why hasn't anyone offered a kit that doesn't require a key? Not having to fumble through pockets to unlock/start a car is very intriguing...

And on the same note with an all-in-one key, why doesn't Ford come out with a flip design key similar to v-dubs/mazda? It's 2008 and I still had to settle for a separate key and fob.

Anybody come across anything or found anything similar? Didn't mean to hijack a thread, but I'd be interested in the Fusion blading as well - if not more.

Does anyone know if you can get something like this for an 06 GT? I would love to have this feature but as said above so far it only works for the o7 and up, any one know if it is possible to get them for an 06?

That's what I thought. My daughter had a Fusion and I loved that feature of the key. She hated the car, though, and now has a new Focus with the Sync system. I'd love to have a keyless way of starting the car or an all in one key like the Fusion plus the Sync in my Mustang.
Will Ford offer those in the near future?

AZ pete, why not just buy a new one? Go on Ebay and find a new un-cut one. I would have to guess you will pay close to what that cost ($40-50) in the end by having yours changed out; especially if you have to buy the blade at a dealer.

My keychain is definitely lighter and smaller now that I have the Fusion key. I can attest to that. My Magnum had the integrated key and I loved it. It's a bit better than the normal key, but there's no question that it's smaller than the key and fob separate.

I have that kind of key. I bought it on ebay and got it cut at Home Depot. Since I had the 2 keys that came with the car originally, I was able to program the transistor in the key and then program the remote.

It's really nice having key and remote in one. I can add a keychain if I want. But most of all, it's just nice to have less crap in my pockets.
