State Your Opinions About My List of Possible Upgrades! Are they worth the money?

I really just want my car to handle like a dream, so i'm keeping all the suspension upgrades including the cc plates. I know i don't need them but they do help.

I'm going to go with the FRPP 3.73 since everyone says they're the best, but wat else do i need with that? Oil, gaskets, anything? Lastly is their a difference in the Cobra FRPP 3.73 and the GT? I found 1 on ebay but it says cobra...

What kind of tuner should i get? I was looking at the SCT Mustang LiveWire Tuner since it does so much...

Thanks again.

If you look on Late Model Restoration you ca buy the complete kit for FRPP 3.73's.Comes with bearings, oil, gears and whatever else is needed for a gear rebuild,I think its $280.

Sorry its $260.Heres the link..

For the gears, IMO get some new ones from a reputable shop. They'll set you on the right foot. Cobra ones will not work on a GT AFAIK

For the tuner, its not the handheld that matters. It's the closest reputable tuning shop and whatever software they use. Yeah SCT has alot of user end tweaks, but in the hands of the wrong tuner shop, you aren't going to like it. So check your local Mustang clubs, see who they use for tuning and what software that person uses.

Ok definitely dropping the shorties... gonna save up for some LTs and and shortie h-pipe from BBK. I already have 40s flowmasters thats not going to be a problem is it?

The tires I found on tire-rack were not that much cheaper considering I'd still have to get them mounted and balanced...

I'm gonna check out the local mustang clubs most defiantly b4 thinking about a tuner.

No it shouldnt be a prob,i know a couple local stangs runniong that same setup.Just remember that if that hpipe is o/r you cant get the MIL eliminators, only way to get passed the CEL is a Tuner or DIY MIL's.Im waiting for my warranty to go out before I do Mid length headers w/high flow H and my Flow Super 44's...I cant wait....:D

Also if they are any cheaper at tire rack...take the add or quote sheet to a local Disount tires and they will match the price...sometimes even beat it...thats if you have a dicount tire.

Looks like you have a nice list of mods you are about to order, if you dont allready know use "stangnet" as a discount code either lower case or all caps I cant remember. 5% off so it should save you a nice amount.

Honestly for the $2400 your going to spend buying all that, save your money just a bit more and buy a blower. You can probably find a used kit for that much....and you will be much happier.
Also dont forget to use the cupon code stangnet for 6% off if you do place a big order like that...last time it was 6% but used to be only 5%. Mustangforums I think was 6% but didnt work for me.

Yea stangnet doesn't work anymore but i already sent a PM to AMNick for the new one... idk if i'm ready for a blower yet... my car is still a daily driver and i just want a little extra power, and i definitely don't want to lower my gas mileage too much.

The tuner will adjust your speedo for your gears. Get those two together. Gears are the single biggest bolt-on performance increase youll get, especially with the extra 10hp from the tuner.

A blower gets you MUCH more power for your money, but you need to be prepared to pay up just in case you are unlucky and blow your motor. In your case, most of your money is going on gears, suspension and wheels all of which you will want anyway, blower or not. Even your tuner can hold the dyno tune when you get a blower.
Its when you start wasting tons of money on plenums and shorties etc. that you realize you should have put it towards a blower.
