I love the car and I could not afford to sell it, either. I also have a 1966 I love and would sell only as a last resort. It's a small mini retirement fund or drastic emergency fund.
If gas gets high enough, I might buy a Focus or something to drive most of the time and save my Mustang GT for special occasions.

I'd be taking the bus if gas got out of hand. Atleast they run off of Natural Gas so their price of operation is not thrown off as dramatically by gas prices. But the bus sucks! But I would if I could and had to.

I don't even worry about gas prices, I can't drive a car everyday if I don't enjoy it. Honestly the stang should get about the same as my previous dd which was a dodge stratus 4 cly:notnice:

right now I drive 48 miles each way to work 5 days a week...I had an 03 s10 with the 4.3 before....I was driving my 95 daily because it got better gas mileage (24-26) and wanted something alittle more reliable and got this now i'm getting 25-29 depending on driving style best being 31.0 and this is not by this computer....i'll be keeping it for a while to say the least.

I won't sell it. I just bought it, so I couldn't sell it if I wanted to. Plus, it is the most efficient car I have ever owned, and i bought it to save gas as it gets 3-4 times the milage my truck got.

I use the car mostly to and from work and for an occasional 100+ trip. I'm just hitting 10,000 on the odo.

No, I wouldn't sell. I'd lobby the Bicycle Coalition so I can cycle to work; its easy, fast, flat, close by, and good for my health. Only thing is one stretch is death row for cyclists. The BC is pretty strong here and also advocates smart cycling rules such as following the rules of the road, stopping at stop signs, not riding on sidewalks, or cutting in front of cars.
