ok my set up is a 89 coupe
stock bottem end
gt40 irons ported
e 303
eddy performer rpm ported
650 holley dp
t5
410s
weld big and littles
nitto drag radial 275/50/15
strange struts
50/50 lakewoods
4cyl spring in front
gt spring in rear
glass hood

i know the nittos dont hook that great but i dont want to run my full slick yet till i get new axles what tire pressure and launch rpm do you recomend

also having a problem keeping the car still to do a burnout , i have a linelock on the other car , i mostly side step the clutch and heel and toe the brake and gas but it wants to keep going , should i dump it at a good rpm and just stab on the brake quick and keep it going didnt have time to get a line lock on it

also guys with similar combos what would you recomend for shift points with this motor i am trying to run 12s with this combo i would be happy

any info guys i appreciate

I would start at around ~3500 - 4k for your launch and depending on how that goes, change it. I launch at 2k with my motor on 275/60/15 ET streets and I still get a good bit of wheel spin, but I can get 1.8 60' times out of them. The higher RPM's should work good for you though.

As for the burn out...just dump the clutch in second gear and hop on the brake to stop the car and then just balance the brake and gas pedal to keep it going.

As for shift points I would say anywhere in the 5500-6000 rpm range should work. You'll have to figure out what it likes best.

Good luck and post up the times :nice:

well car did perfect burnouts ran 14psi in the nittos

1st run 13.1 ,1.99 60ft, 107.50 mph left at 4500 shifted at 5800
2nd run 13.16, 1.94 60ft, 106 mph left at 4000 shifted at 6200 13 psi in the tires
3rd ru 13.4, 2.23 60ft, 106 mph left easy at 3000 and shifted at 5500 went through the traps with the shift light one to change gears again might have too much gear or run a 28inch tall slick and should have a 12 second car
