please help! dont know whats wrong!!

so about a week ago i noticed a slight leak coming from the passenger side of the intake. i thought that the problem was the intake itself, so i ordered a PI intake kit from livernois. i installed it today and it went perfectly. i cranked the car over and it started fine. after about 20 seconds, a loud hiss could be heard and water (what we filled the radiator with) started leaking from the SAME exact spot. the leaking, however, was heavier and louder. I dont even know what to do anymore. is some thing wrong with the heads or what? its leaking in between the head and intake so i dont know what else it could be. please help! thanks ahead of time!

we used rtv becuase we felt like we needed to with the added adapter plates. but i have a feeling that the heads are warped... what would be the best thing to do? just buy performance ones or work it over if possible?

You say you're running addater plates? So it that to say you're running a PI intake on an NPI engine? If so, I wouldn't waste my time with machining the stock NPI heads if they're in need of it. For the little cost PI heads are running now a days, it's worth while just to do the complete top end swap. Especially when you consider your heads would have to come off anyway to do any machine work.

yeah tahts what i was thinking. but is there any way to know for sure if its the heads or is that the only possible thing it could be?

You might also want to check your adapter place for trueness as well. No guarantee’s they’re not the problem, especially if you got yourself “a deal” on them. Get yourself a good strait edge and place it on all the surfaces when they’re off to make sure they're flat. If you're getting any uneven surfaces, or warp age, you should be able to see it. Also, inspect all surfaces and hoses cracks or tears. You never know it might not be coming from the area you think, but running across the engine.
