I was driving around town tonight and needed gas so I filled up. I bought 92 which should be good for the car as it was tuned on 91. About three miles down the road, the car started acting really funny. It wouldn't got above 1,300RPMS without it cutting up or backfiring. I have never had these problems before but the tow truck driver said that there has been some bad gas stations who water their gas down. Does this sound like the case? Any help would be great, thanks!

I have dug a little deeper and have done a basic tune up on the car. It needed new wires anyways... Still the same problem. Tomorrow I will be draining the fuel and messing with all that fun crap....

I didn't see a tanker re-filling their tanks when I was there, but thats not saying it wasn't filled that day. Anyways, how often are people using 91 or better in their cars anyways.

ya know when my dizzy was going out it was running kinda like that too. i'm not sold on the fuel doing that. have you changed the fuel filter lately?

You were right, it was the dizzy. I Replaced the Ignition control module first and the symptoms seemed to get more obvious. I tested the dark green wire on the ICM while someone cranked it and the test light wouldn't really blink (Hall Effect) which told me my stator was bad in the dizzy.... Runs great now. Thanks
