what brake pads do you run??

i need to get a new set for the cobra brakes going on my car. what is the best brake for street duty? i've seen a lot of people running hawk pads but i dont really know what else is out there.

OEM pads have been the best for me. No noise, little brake dust, decent performance. I'm not talking Motorcraft either. OEM ford pads, they are different.

Those are actually the Motorcraft ones. OEM Ford pads are different. They are going to run you probably $80 for them. They are different than Motorcraft. The Motorcraft ones will probably be fine though. Hawks are good but too damn noisy IMO.

those are not OE. if they are OE they will not say motorcraft anywhere on the box. plus the basic number 2v001 is motorcraft, NOT ford. they will also be in a brown box, not a white or red box.

I have run hawk pads and they were noisey and created a a*$ load of dust. I would reccomend ebc green or red stuff pads.

I'm running Hawk HPS right now. I have the Brembo Cobra R brakes though. I love them compared to the brembo pads the calipers came with. Mine dont get that much brake dust and arent noisy at all. I love them and dont plan on changing brands.

when i had my mustang i ran the OEM brembo pads (i had the 00 cobra R brakes) on the front and the OEM Varga pads. switched to Hawk HPS and they were whisper quiet and no dust. its all in how you bed the pads in. people that complain of noise do not install them and bed them correctly.

Stock '00 GT brake system. I run Hawk HB274F610 on the front and Hawk HB183F660 on the rear. Works good and no more dust than stock pads.

hawk pads with OEM volvo rotors on my DD and my mustang no problems.

you can get the non motorcraft OEM pads from any ford dealer. the basic part number is 2001, not 2v001 as with motorcraft.

I have only used EBC Green Pads, I've been very happy with them. Not much dust and stop great.

USE OEM!!

Hawk pads are complete 5hit, they will squeal like a hooker in Vegas and create enough brake dust to build your very own Hawaiian beach.

No really, stick with OEM.
