ok i had a chp vin check and the ******* failed me for a couple reasons. but my main concern is the airbag reason he failed me. i was reading in the haynes manual that the airbad light suppose to come on when you turn the ignition on and my car doesnt. my car is a salvaged cause it was rear ended but the haynes manual says that it does not have a sensor in the rear bumper so that shouldnt matter. i have asked several people and these are the 2 common responces.
1. check your fuses (if there is a fuse can anyone tell me cause i dont have the owner manual)
2. the light bulb might just be blown out.

the ford dealership wants to charge me 130 just for a damn inspection and im like wtf ? screw them so i came here hoping anyone can help me. and i already tried resetting the computer like the haynes manual says but no luck. so please someone help me !!!!

Welcome to :SNSign:

If the airbag light is burned out, you should hear an audible tone from the airbag diagnostic monitor, notifying you of the fault condition. That's of course, if the diagnostic monitor is still connected and someone didn't disconnect it, prior to your ownership of the car. Take a look at this site for more airbag info, and about doing the diagnostic work yourself. You didn't mention what year the car is, but I believe if it's a 93, you need to click the link for 1995+ on that site. Good luck, and let us know if you encounter any more issues.

what am i suppose to hear cause all i can hear is my fuel pump. and yes my car is a 93. if the airbag monitor is disconnected how do i reconect it ? if its the one behing the ac/heater control panel its connected so idk wat to do.

the fuses:
AirBag monitor Fuse #7 15Amp I/P fuse block
AirBag light Fuse #18 15Amp I/P fuse block

yes, the monitor is behind the A/C controls.

a series of five sets of five tones will sound if the lamp is out AND there is a malfunction. they will repeat periodically until they're fixed.

thanks for all the help so far you guys but nothing is working. do you think its a bad idea to disconect then reconect the module ? i dont want to stupid bags coming out if they are still in there. there is no distinguishable noises that sound like any diagnoses is going on. i am going to post a video to see if it explains it a bit more. but thanks you guys, you are making this a lot easier.
