So I am getting ready to cut my roof skin off and am going to put bracing in my door jams where the tape is in the pic. Do you all think that that is enough bracing? I will brace the drivers and passengers side. I am not removing the whole roof just the skin.

if you're only doing the skin i don't see why you'd need to use any bracing at all, the supports under the roof run all the way around the perimeter of the car so that should keep the car from flexing

I kinda thought the same thing but Someone thought that I should brace it. It will only be a couple tack welds. The car is currently on a rotisserie so i want to be sure. I did think about running one diagonal across the car as well.

You can brace it if you want but it's only sheetmetal and all the bracing keep it together. A took this to a car show a couple of years ago.

We will be removing the drip rails. We have not worked on it in a couple of years he got married and bought a house and now has no money. I did it on a 67 Coupe and also doing it on my personal 68 Coupe.
