Heres the story: Car was running fine, smelled a little rich. Ran really well though, so I didnt do anything about it. Had a check engine light intermittently, came on rarely for a few seconds at a time when driving. Not surprised, I did a bunch of crap to it, what can you expect? Well on the way home from work today I got a check engine light solid for most of the trip home, and the car was running like crap. Pinging pretty hard on accel, base time 13 deg. (14 pinged on 87) and I have been running it on 91 cause its been hot here and I dont want to retard the timing any more. Bought the scanner, KOEO- I got "539 -separator- 172,332,556" 539 has got to be the funniest code I have ever seen, couldn't believe I counted blinks so intently to find out that my A/C was on. 172 is no doubt the HEGO that I sensed going bad when i smelled my car running rich brings me to the first question: which one is bank one?
Next question:556? I read this as 'fuel pump relay primary circuit fail' Soooooo wtf is that? Does this mean I need a relay, a new circuit, a new fuel pump(which sounds great by the way) I assume there is a secondary circuit, since the car has been running fine, and just by the verbage "primary" i assume if there is a primary there must be a secondary. So should I worry about that one? or just fix it when I get "a round tuit"
332(insuf. EGR flow)-no surprises here either, thats my fault, unless it will cause my car to run worse, I dont care. Thank you very much for your help!!!
