Codes!

Heres the story: Car was running fine, smelled a little rich. Ran really well though, so I didnt do anything about it. Had a check engine light intermittently, came on rarely for a few seconds at a time when driving. Not surprised, I did a bunch of crap to it, what can you expect? Well on the way home from work today I got a check engine light solid for most of the trip home, and the car was running like crap. Pinging pretty hard on accel, base time 13 deg. (14 pinged on 87) and I have been running it on 91 cause its been hot here and I dont want to retard the timing any more. Bought the scanner, KOEO- I got "539 -separator- 172,332,556" 539 has got to be the funniest code I have ever seen, couldn't believe I counted blinks so intently to find out that my A/C was on. 172 is no doubt the HEGO that I sensed going bad when i smelled my car running rich brings me to the first question: which one is bank one?
Next question:556? I read this as 'fuel pump relay primary circuit fail' Soooooo wtf is that? Does this mean I need a relay, a new circuit, a new fuel pump(which sounds great by the way) I assume there is a secondary circuit, since the car has been running fine, and just by the verbage "primary" i assume if there is a primary there must be a secondary. So should I worry about that one? or just fix it when I get "a round tuit"
332(insuf. EGR flow)-no surprises here either, thats my fault, unless it will cause my car to run worse, I dont care.:hail2: Thank you very much for your help!!!:hail2:

Bank 1 is the passenger side where your 1-4 pistons are, That O2 is shot, i would like to recomend to you that change both sensors for the peace of mind and to have healthy sensors on both banks.
Code 556 means a bad fuel pump, how ever if you have an alarm that cuts the fuel pump it will trigger that code if you try to run the car with the pump off, or your safety switch was triggered and you tried to run the car with the pump off i will deploy that code. Or a bad CCRM will also deploy that one , but i am sure that if you dont have any fuel pump issues its a non bad code , i had that one on the 95 when i tried to start the car with a car security key not released.

KILLER! Yes I do have an alarm, Its a ford dealer installed thing, I hate it, but that probably is the 556 code. Only reason I didnt just replace both is (1) they look pretty freakin new to me, I think the right one may have had an "unfortunate accident" when I pulled the engine. You know, 4 friends over, plenty of beer, I think that sensor may have been man handled when it came out. Other side didnt have to come out, so this makes sense. and (2) well, I'm not broke, but I'm badly bent. Thanks for the help!!!!:nice:
