Well when i installed mine i just unbolted the regulater off of the fender apron and swapped the alternator and neatly tucked and secured the old regulater wiring and alternator harness back behind the shocktower just incase i ever wanted to go back but i dont see a reason too.

Other then that its pretty straight forward just hook the wire up to the + on the batt, if you want to use your stock amperage gauge there is a way but i just used an aftermarket autometer and found a 12v source inside and tapped that :nice:

Definately use a 4ga wire... the 8ga wire it comes with is a pretty low quality wire to begin with. I am not sure which wire to splice from the stock harness to get a voltage reading to the dash... I bought one but ended up using a 3g so I never ended up hooking it up. (my powermaster was damaged in shipping).
